The Covenant of Grace -Promise

Read Genesis 12:1-9

The Covenant of Grace unfolds in Scripture in similar fashion of a novel. We do not know all the characters, or the fullness of the plot unless we keep reading, and at some point we come to the climax, and then the conclusion is revealed. So the Covenant of Grace - God's promised plan of saving all his people from their sins through the blood of Jesus his Son - is unfolded in types and shadows in the Old testament. We come to Abram, one of the most important persons of the Bible. In divine electing grace, God calls Abram out of idolatry, and proclaims to him the gospel, and promises through him would come the 'seed', Jesus Christ, who justify the nations through faith [Galatians 3:8-16].

Yes and Amen in Christ

Read 2Corinthians 1:12-22

The final word of the Apostles' Creed is "Amen!" this is not a mere word to end our prayers or to call for when someone has said something we agree with; rather it is a word that expresses our affirmation that God is true what he has promised in Christ, and we desire those promises to be fulfilled.
